About Us
Ebony Wholistic Healing (EWH) is a sanctuary for melanated women to reclaim wellness, self-love, and empowerment through (w)holistic and culturally attuned practices. Founded in 2023 in Toronto, Canada, EWH is not just a health and wellness practice; it is a community, a village, a tribe committed to honouring each woman’s sacred journey and fostering spaces where healing and growth can flourish. We believe that well-being extends far beyond the absence of illness—it encompasses the totality of our personal, interpersonal, environmental, social, and spiritual harmony.
At EWH, our mission is to walk alongside you on your wellness journey, creating a nurturing space that empowers you to reconnect with your inner strength, wisdom, and joy. Our services draw from a rich blend of mindfulness, movement, and meditation techniques, each thoughtfully tailored to support and honour your unique path. We integrate the wisdom of African ancestral teachings, including Ubuntu, Sankofa, and the principles of Kwanzaa, with the modern science of lifestyle medicine to foster whole-person healing, resilience, and self-transformation.
Through one-on-one coaching, group sessions, workshops, and community circles, EWH offers a place where melanated women can come together, reclaim their voices, establish healthy boundaries, and explore purpose in a space of belonging. We are deeply inspired by the communal practices of our heritage, where healing is collective, and the strength of each person is uplifted by the support of the whole.
Join us in a sacred journey of self-discovery, where the goal is not to become someone new, but to embrace and celebrate the essence of who you’ve always been. At Ebony Wholistic Healing, you are welcome, valued, and empowered as you step fully into your authentic, vibrant, and powerful self.
About Our Founder
Welcome to Ebony Wholistic Healing! I’m Coach C.C., affectionately referred to as “Empress C.C.” and “the Harriet Tubman of Professional Coaching.” My heart’s work is in holding space for deep transformation, with a special focus on culturally attuned coaching for melanated women. My superpower is helping women reconnect with their inner she-ro, the powerful part of themselves that’s often forgotten but never truly lost.
My journey into (w)holistic health began as a provincially certified Intra-oral Dental Assistant, where my passion for wellness and service was first ignited. This path evolved into nearly two decades as a cardiac inpatient Unit Coordinator at one of Canada’s leading hospitals. However, an experience with workplace trauma caused me to seek a deeper purpose. During the COVID pandemic, this journey of self-discovery led me to meditation and inspired me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management.
In 2023, in response to the heightened post-pandemic mental health crisis and a calling to serve, I transitioned from traditional sick-care to focus on (w)holistic health. From there, I received training to facilitate mental health care through an Africentric lens, and founded BWell International —a supportive community space for Black wellness professionals exploring new paths in healing and personal transformation.
As a certified Meditation Practitioner and Facilitator, trauma-informed Mental Health Coach, wellness advocate, and lifelong learner, I bring a rich blend of lived experience and a multidimensional understanding of health to my work. With each session, I weave together tools from meditation, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices to create a safe, nurturing environment for healing and growth.
I envision a future where all women, especially melanated women, are empowered to stand boldly in their truth and embody the spirit of Ubuntu—the African philosophy that declares, “I am because we are.” In this future, women recognize their intrinsic connection to one another, understanding that their well-being and empowerment are interwoven with the strength of their sisters.
Here, the spirit of Ubuntu shapes how women move through the world, fostering deep empathy, mutual respect, and shared healing.
In this vision, well-being is (w)holistic, acknowledging the spirit, soul, mind, and body. It draws from ancestral wisdom and modern insights, weaving together the best of both worlds. This is a future where self-care is a right, not a luxury; where community support is abundant; and where each woman stands in her power with confidence, unapologetically embracing who she is and who she chooses to become.
